Louise Bomber Conference – Inside I’m Hurting

Posted · Add Comment

Families for Children are delighted to be able to offer two conferences featuring

Louise Bombèr – Strategic Attachment Lead Teacher and Therapist, and author the acclaimed book “Inside I’m Hurting”.

The first of these conferences is to be held on Friday 2nd February 2018, 9am-4pm Dartington Hall, Devon (Refreshments and lunch will be provided).  The second conference will be on 4th May 2018 in Wimbourne, Dorset (venue to be confirmed)

This one day conference is suitable for adopters and a wide range of professionals who are interested in understanding how to settle troubled children to learn at both primary and secondary school age. The day will identify children at risk within education and focus on using an attachment framework to understand their behaviour as a form of communication. Louise will suggest ways to create an optimal state for learning; many of her ideas cost little or nothing to implement, rather they involve a change of approach, not funding.

Louise is known for her innovative, creative and inclusive ways of working with children who have experienced trauma and loss, enabling them to make the most of what their school and family has to offer. She is a dynamic and energetic speaker who is qualified as a specialist teacher and therapist, and is a strong advocate for attachment aware and trauma informed interventions within education.

Please come along and encourage your child’s teacher to come along as well!

Professionals – £35.00 pp

Adopters – free of charge, any contributions will be greatly received on the day
