Organise A Fundraising Event

We enjoy helping people to put the FUN into fundraising! Hold an event with friends, family or work colleagues or involve local community groups or your school.

Events can be held almost anywhere and not only are they raising vital funds, they also raising awareness about the work we do with adopted children and their families in the South West and the need for more adopted families to come forward.

We would be pleased to help you along the way with support and materials for your event. We want your events to be fun but also run with care and have prepared a number of essential documents for you to consider if you decide to organise an event.

FUNdraising Ideas!

Abseiling – scared of heights? No! Then why not get your company to fund a charity abseil down the side of their HQ!

Angling Challenge – have a sponsored day’s fishing.

Aerobathon – organise a mass aerobics session and charge participants to enter.

Ball – have a summer ball and sell tickets in advance to friends and family.

BBQ – hold it in your garden with maybe a theme – fancy dress, football, rugby.

Bike Ride – a good family favourite and there are some wonderful West Country rides.

Car Wash – a day spent washing other people’s cars for cash!

Come Dine with Me – follow in the footsteps of FFC Patron David Lawrence Jones who competed in the TV programme. Who will be the best host amongst your group of friends?

Drawing Competition – how about asking your local library whether they would display the winning entries.

Easter Egg Hunt – a favourite with children. Parents could agree to donate a sum for each egg found!

Fancy Dress – from an ‘odd sock day’ to a full blown office ‘beach party day’.

Golf Days – how about charging for team entry and organising some raffle prizes.

Karaoke – you might even get sponsored for not singing at all!

Parachute Jump – there are many places in the UK (FCC usually use the airfield at Dunkeswell) where you can do a tandem jump. You can raise money for FFC and jump for free!

Quiz Night – at the pub or in school. Each team pays to enter and you get a prize donated for the winners.

Treasure Hunt – make a day of it and see how creative you can be.

Treks – sign up for the trip of a lifetime and trek somewhere you’ve always wanted to visit.
