Families for Children has launched its 2015 Christmas Appeal to help children like five year old Chloe enjoy Christmas.
This will be Chloe’s first Christmas in a safe, secure and loving home. She has had a difficult start in life. This time last year Chloe was left at home on her own while her parents were out partying; never knowing what time, or even which day, they would return. In August Chloe moved in to a new family, with adoptive parents Martin and Sue:
“She is such a sensitive little girl, despite our best efforts she can be detached and gets upset at the slightest thing. We would dearly love to see her smashing smile on Christmas morning.”
Young children and babies who suffer neglect are affected in many ways. For children like Chloe, their physical and emotional development can be delayed or damaged. They need specialist help to recover from their early trauma; help that will enable them to move on and become part of their adoptive family.
Once we have placed a vulnerable child with their new family, Families for Children provides a range of Adoption Support services that help families bond and achieve positive change that will last a lifetime. We can only provide the services families desperately need thanks to voluntary donations.

Thank you for your support.
To protect the identity of the children we work with, the story of Chloe and her family is a composite with changed names.
