We are running a fortnightly online support group for adopters via Zoom. The group is hosted by our Family Support Workers and they will focus on a different topic in each session. Why not come along to offer your ideas and learn from other adoptive families - walking, crawling and skipping the same walk as you! If you are interested and would like further information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Note, also open to Non Families for Children adopters.
Plymouth Music Zone
Location: South Devon
We work in partnership with Plymouth Music Zone in Devonport, Plymouth to provide holiday activities and workshops for our children and young people. Plymouth Music Zone is an award winning music charity that believes passionately in the power of music to reach out and help transform the lives of some of the most vulnerable children and young people. Plymouth Music Zone offers a great chance to meet like-minded young people. It is open to siblings and, if appropriate, parents are able to leave their children offering the parents respite.

A Forest School is an innovative educational approach to outdoor play and learning. The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences.
By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment, each participant has an opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation, emotional and social skills. These, through self-awareness, can be developed to reach personal potential.
Little Stars Toddler Group
Location: North Devon
These sessions provide lots of fun things for you to do with your child/children to help build attachment. Each week consists of play and activities in a purpose built room that has numerous toys, a climbing frame, dressing up, a baby area, kitchen area and a shop. Each week there is craft, painting and play dough. Storytelling and singing forms part of the group and children get a snack and a drink. The helpers at this group have all adopted and therefore understand developmental trauma and the support that is needed.

Family Adventure Days
Location: South Devon
From our own outdoor activity centre there are opportunities for families to get out into the outdoors and have fun making fires, dens, dutch arrows and pizzas in a traditional cob oven. Your time will be spent in a beautiful nature reserve in Devon. Your time is perfect for connecting with nature and each other. You will have time to make things, go for a walk or a paddle, cook food and hang out with the family. By participation in these adventures we hope to encourage and inspire families and individuals of all ages through positive outdoor experiences.
Lopwell Barn is our very own family residential centre on the river Tavy. It is promoted as a place where young people can come to relax, reflect and engage in outdoor activities and adventure either with their families, peers, school or as individuals. Lopwell Barn can accommodate school groups and youth groups. It is an ideal venue for us to be able to offer specialist training for adoptive parents or
professionals. Click here to visit the website
