Volunteer - Peer Link mentors
CALL OUT TO ADOPTERS! Do you remember what it was like when your child was first placed? Do you think you could help new adopters through these experiences? Our Peer Mentors do just that and we are always looking for new members of the team.
Families for Children's Peer Link service provides one to one support using experienced adopters who have been recruited, trained and supported as volunteers by Families for Children.
The scheme is designed to provide an informal network to adopters, supporting them to feel less isolated, grow in confidence and make good links with other adoptive parents. Peer mentors are a great sounding board for newly approved adopters or adopters experiencing particular difficulties.
